The era of wind power parity will come in 2022. How can we make the "carbon reduction" ship of wind power run faster and more stably? However, compared with the huge investment of tens of millions of wind turbine units, no matter how advanced the technology is, "reliable and stable" is always the goal of enterprises.


Zhongcheng's product direction of excellence and focus is the core part of wind turbine - pitch system. From the value point of view, the proportion of industrial control products is not high, only about 10%, but the servo drive determines the reliability and stability of wind turbine. It can be said that the control and drive products are the heart and core of the wind turbine. It is no exaggeration to say that they are related to the life and death of this wind turbine. If the pitch logic is not designed properly, it may lead to failure of operation, or serious accidents such as flying propeller, tower injury and tower collapse. The pitch system controls the timing and direction of opening and closing the propeller. In other words, it is derelict of duty if it fails to catch the wind.


In order to adapt to the fan system in various environments, the special servo driver for wind propeller also has strict requirements for temperature difference, which generally needs to meet - 40 ℃ - 70 ℃. In addition, various factors such as long time vibration caused by blade rotation also require higher safety and stability of products. Such a difficult road, Zhongcheng Excellence has walked for nearly 10 years.


The current pitch drive product of Zhongcheng Excellence has entered the third generation. The PD-C650 servo driver launched in 2021 is one of the "star products". This drive was incorporated into the project development in July 2019. It is a product that is really researched and developed with customers. In the early stage of this project, it took one year. Both parties sent technicians to conduct research and development, deeply discussed the problems that may occur in practical application, and discussed and solved them item by item,. The prototype was tested in the factory for 15 days, and it was tested on the computer at the customer's site for another 4 months. This was the time for mass production. At present, tens of thousands of prototypes have been sold, and the failure rate caused by the product itself is "zero".


Whether it is the combination of industry, education and research conducted by Zhongcheng Excellence and universities, or the independent research and development of its own R&D team, the product managers of Zhongcheng Excellence mentioned the two words "reliable and stable" most frequently when talking about products. Indeed, with the wind turbine tower being built higher and higher, and the blade being longer and longer, the requirements for the driver will be higher. Only by achieving high reliability and stability can we live up to the efforts of all parties.


Zhongcheng's remarkable pace has not slowed down because of a "star" product. They are still continuing to update and iterate technology. At present, they have also launched a dual purpose 80A servo driver for offshore wind power, which is currently the servo driver with the highest power density in the industry. Compared with other similar products, although the current output is the same, the volume is much smaller. This design alone will reduce the space of the client unit and save costs.


China's wind power generation is making great strides, and the onshore distributed power generation system is going deeper into a wider region. The offshore wind power will also move towards the distant sea like the European wind power in the future. In the future, the excellence of all cities will accept more requirements and challenges.
